Chairman and CEO

 

Mr. Curtiss-Lusher is CEO and co-founder of Nexus BSP LLC.  He is also a founder and co-owner of Strategic Asset Management which was established in September 1997 and operated Nexus Resources LLC. Mr. Curtiss-Lusher has over 35 years of experience in the oil, gas and energy industries. Prior to his decision to pursue an entrepreneurial business career, Mr. Curtiss-Lusher practiced law in Denver, focusing his efforts in the areas of capital formation, securities, and natural resources.

From 1984 to 1988, Mr. Curtiss-Lusher founded and was the Chief Executive Officer and the largest shareholder of Diversified Operating Corporation (“DOC”), an operating company that was engaged in oil and gas exploration, development and production in the Rocky Mountain Region. He sold his interest in DOC in 1988. From 1988 until its sale in 1993, he was a co‑founder of and consultant to Altresco, Inc., a developer of independent power plants. In 1994, he co-founded and became a co-manager of Bay Minerals LLC, an entity that has participates in several ventures involving oil and gas royalty and working interests. In 1997, he led the formation of Barclay Energy Partners ("BEP") and SEAM-Gulf Partners (“SEAM”) to participate in the drilling of several oil and gas prospects located in Louisiana. The BEP and SEAM interests were contributed to Nexus as part of that company’s formation.

Mr. Curtiss-Lusher has previously served on the boards of Rose Medical Center, City Year Denver and Colorado Public Radio. He is currently the National Chair of the Anti‑Defamation League. Mr. Curtiss-Lusher received a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
